CDE Flash Card brings a wide range of early-learning content together in one convenient app.
There are no physical cards to prepare, no long word lists to organise and no need to manage every card manually.
Choose a learning area, select a topic and begin learning together.
Begin by selecting one of CDE Flash Card’s five main learning areas:
Introduce vocabulary, everyday objects, animals, food, science, geography, transportation and many other topics.
Help your child become familiar with quantities through visual dot-based learning.
Support language and reading development through English, Chinese and Bahasa Melayu content.
Introduce your child to countries, cultures, nature, landmarks, space and the wider world.
You can begin with familiar subjects, such as animals, colours or everyday objects, before gradually exploring new and more advanced topics.
There is no need to complete everything in order. Follow your child’s interest and move at a comfortable pace.
Once you have selected a topic, CDE presents the learning cards with:
Instead of reading, turning and arranging physical cards at the same time, parents can focus on sitting with their child and sharing the experience.
Your child does not need to repeat every word or answer a question after every card. For younger children or children seeing a topic for the first time, watching and listening are already valuable parts of the learning process.
As the topic becomes more familiar, you can encourage your child to:
Children often need repeated exposure before new information becomes familiar.
Repeat the same topic across several sessions instead of expecting your child to remember everything immediately.
When your child becomes comfortable with a set, you can:
Each session adds another small piece to your child’s growing knowledge.
CDE Flash Card can be used at any suitable time during your child’s day.
Move to a new topic when your child is ready.
You do not need to complete many sets in one sitting. Short and regular sessions are easier to maintain and more comfortable for young children.
CDE manages the learning materials, card presentation and audio. Parents provide encouragement, connection and context.
For example, after learning about fruit, you might find the same fruit in your kitchen. After seeing an animal, you might talk about its sound or where it lives.
If your child looks away, becomes restless or loses interest, you can pause and try again later. Learning should not become a struggle.
Follow your child’s pace instead of forcing the session to continue.
CDE Flash Card does not replace parents, teachers, books, play or real-world experiences.
It is a learning tool that helps parents access and present a wider range of organised content more easily.
The app handles the preparation. Parents bring the encouragement, conversation and human connection that children need.
Choose a topic, spend a few minutes learning together and discover something new with your child.
